If you are participating in a Best Buddies chapter this year, your first step is
to complete a Membership Application. To get started, please choose the correct
Best Buddies program from the Membership Application button on the main menu above
and submit your application.
To protect your privacy, BBO encrypts your application data over HTTPS, and all
participant information is stored on a secure server accessible only by authorized
users. Best Buddies does not share participant data with anyone.
Note: if you are interested in participating in a Best Buddies chapter, but have
not been in contact with anyone from the chapter, please get in touch with a Best
Buddies staff member before completing a Membership Application to confirm that
you are eligible to participate. You can find the contact information for your local
Best Buddies office here:
https://bestbuddies.org/staff-directory/
Once your application is received, it must be processed and approved by your chapter
leadership. Once approved, you will receive your login information to access your
Chapter Portal. If you have not received or misplaced your login information, this
can be retrieved at any time using the following user name/password retrieval utility:
http://www.bestbuddiesonline.org/forgotpassword.aspx
|
As noted above, the Chapter Portal is the official website for your chapter. Here,
you can find the official Chapter Roster, Calendar, as well as downloadable worksheets,
manuals, and other printable resources.
Note: access to the Chapter Portal is tiered, based on each users role in the chapter.
Most chapter members will be able to view the Chapter Portal, but will not have
access to make changes to anything but their own user profile. Certain chapter leaders,
such as senior officers and advisors, will be given Chapter Admin access to administer
the Chapter Portal; this gives users the ability to approve Membership Applications,
manage the Chapter Roster, edit and submit semi-annual reports, and more.
